No subscriptions, ever. VoxiPrompter is free to download and use with scripts up to 1,500 characters (~2 minutes of speaking). For unlimited script length, a one-time Pro upgrade is available for $99 (or $59 during launch with code LAUNCH40). Your license key is tied to a single machine — activate in the app with one click (requires internet once). You can deactivate anytime to transfer to a different computer. See pricing.

The mobile remote uses your Local Area Network (Wi-Fi). Meaning, as long as your phone and your computer are connected to the same Wi-Fi router, they can talk to each other rapidly and securely. It operates completely disconnected from the wider public internet.

The included intelligence engine currently supports robust auto-pausing and speech alignment out of the box for the following languages:

VoxiPrompter is not yet code-signed with Apple or Microsoft certificates. This triggers security warnings on both platforms, but the app is completely safe — all processing happens locally on your device.

• macOS: Open Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone, and toggle VoxiPrompter on.
• Windows: Open Settings > Privacy > Microphone, and allow VoxiPrompter to access it.
• Linux: Ensure your user is in the audio group and that PulseAudio or PipeWire is running. Most desktop distributions have this configured by default.

After purchasing, you receive a license key via email. Enter the key in the app's Settings and click Activate — this requires an internet connection once. After that, the app works fully offline. Your license is tied to one machine at a time. If you switch computers, click "Deactivate" on the old machine first, then activate on the new one. If you no longer have access to the old machine, you can deactivate from your customer dashboard.

Each license key activates on one machine at a time. To move your license, deactivate it on the current machine first, then activate on the new one. You can transfer as many times as you like — there's no limit on transfers, only a limit of one active machine at a time.

VoxiPrompter has a built-in updater. Click "Check for Updates" in the sidebar to check for new versions. If an update is available, it downloads and installs automatically — the app restarts with the new version. No need to re-download from the website.

VoxiPrompter generates local URLs you can add as Browser Sources in OBS, Streamlabs, or XSplit. The teleprompter overlay shows your script to you while streaming. The subtitle overlay shows live AI-generated captions to your viewers. Everything runs locally — no cloud captioning service needed.

Speaking Pace is a single setting that optimizes the voice engine for your delivery speed. Choose Fast (default, for rapid or energetic speakers), Normal (works for most people), or Slow (for deliberate speakers with longer pauses). It automatically tunes endpoint timing, silence detection, segment management, and stale-text detection — no manual sliders needed.

Yes. VoxiPrompter includes full OBS integration via WebSocket. You can automatically create Browser Sources, control scene switching, and toggle source visibility — all from within VoxiPrompter. There's also a custom OBS dock panel for quick access.

Four independent profiles: Desktop, Mobile, Overlay Teleprompter, and Overlay Subtitle. Each has its own font size, colors, offsets, and display modes. Changes to one profile don't affect others.

Try these steps in order:

1. Check the Mic Level indicator in Audio & AI Setup — if it stays gray, your microphone isn't picking up sound. Verify the correct mic is selected and click Refresh.
2. Make sure the status bar shows "Live" — if it says "Idle", press Space or click Start.
3. Try switching Speaking Pace to "Fast" if you're a quick speaker, or "Slow" if you pause often between sentences.
4. Lower the Accuracy Threshold (try 25–35%) — this makes matching more forgiving.
5. Check your script character count — the free tier stops advancing after 1,500 characters.

Script markers let you automate OBS commands directly from your script. When the teleprompter cursor reaches a marker, VoxiPrompter sends the command to OBS via WebSocket automatically.

• [SCENE: Interview] — switches OBS to the named scene
• [SHOW: Lower Third] — makes a source visible
• [HIDE: Lower Third] — hides a source

Markers appear as visible labels in the teleprompter but are stripped from voice matching — they don't interfere with speech recognition. Requires an active OBS WebSocket connection.

You can also click any word in the Live Monitor to jump the cursor there instantly. Your cursor position is preserved when you stop — next time you start, the teleprompter resumes where you left off.

Click "Open Log File" in the sidebar footer to open the log directory. The main log is app.log.
